His accusers brought many false charges against Jesus, but He spoke not a word in His own defence. 'Crucily him!' they shouted.
Pilate wasked his hands, to show the decision was not his own, but he did not dare to side publicly with Jesus; instead, he was willing to content the people. So Jesus was condemned to death.
Lord, When You were misunderstood,
