saltwater fish

We have a saltwater fish tank at our house and we have been loosing fish. We have two fish that we've had from the beginning but all the others that we get seem to die. We just had the water tested again and everything seems to be perfect.

The guy at the fish store said that the only thing he can think of is that we have hidden killer. A mantis shrimp can hide in your rock and kill all kinds of stuff. Go to youtube if you want to see a mantis in action - they are pretty mean.

It made me wonder about all the hidden killers we can have in our own lives. Things that are lurking there - things that no one else knows about. We know it's there and for some reason we have never dealt with it.

If you have a hidden secret in your life you should really deal with it before it destroys your life.

What is your secret dream? I heard someone say once that dream was only a dream until you right it down - then it becomes a goal.

Today my kids were in the back seat fighting like usual, when I heard an incredibly clarifying statement.

Here is what my daughter said to her brother:
"I said don't - that means DO NOT DO!"

If there was any confusion about what she had said earlier it was now very clear.

There have been many times when God probably felt the same way with me. He says something to me and then  has to go back and explain again what He was saying because I wasn't listening very well.

What a great day at LifePoint! Our prayer was Lord make us willing...

We talked about what might happen if we were to pray Lord make us willing to do whatever it takes to reach the over 65,000 people that don't go to church who live right around us.

Who do you know, who do you work with, who do you go to school with who need to know the love of God. How can you show them that love.

Let's make LOVE GOD & LOVE PEOPLE  more than just a statement - let's make it a reality.

In Hebrews 12:3 we are told to remember all that Jesus did and endured and that should remind us to never grow tired of doing good. Don't give up doing good things!

This weekend is the first weekend of the One Prayer series. I can't wait to see what God will do as the Church stands together in this incredible showing of unity! There are now over 1300 churches that we will be participating with.

Every day next week, we will unite together. The schedule for this coming week is:

• Monday: What did God do in your Church? Share what God is doing in your church and celebrate with other believers.

• Tuesday: We will fast together and pray for salvations. Go to the website to write the first name of someone you are praying will come to know Christ.If you can't fast, you might devote an hour to praying for salvations by sacrificing your time from the TV or another activity.

• Wednesday: What is your One Prayer? If you could pray one prayer for the Church, what would it be?

• Thursday: How can we pray for each other? Share requests with each other, and lift each other up in prayer.

• Friday: Pray for your church this weekend. Pray specifically for your church and the upcoming weekend.

HOW COOL IS THAT!

best wife ever

It is hard for me to believe but today I have been married for 19 years! Please keep in mind that I got married when I was 11.

Martha is my best friend and I often wonder how she puts up with my craziness. She is the best mom I have ever seen. She keeps me organized when no one else can.

She makes me laugh. She cooks some mean chicken and fries. I love the fact that she is a clean freak because I get the benefits. She is one of the most genuine and caring people I have ever met.

She helps me so much in ministry that I don't think I can even begin to describe the ways. She makes so much better than I could ever be on my own. Her calling as a pastor's wife is a true calling from God - you should ask her about it sometime.

I love my wife and I just wanted to let the world know.
