Do you remember when you were a kid and you were somehow drawn to puddles. It was as if the puddles would call your name and there was no way you could neglect them. There was something incredibly fun about stepping into puddles and it was even more fun if you were able to splash someone next to you.
What changed! Somehow as adults must of us now avoid puddles and if you are a parent you are constantly telling you kids not to step in the puddles.
I was watching my daughter get on the bus the other day and it happened to be raining. She stepped of the driveway right into the water and I had to laugh.
The Bible tells us about a time when Jesus had an encounter with some children:
And they were bringing children to Him
so that He might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But
when Jesus saw this,He was indignant and
said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them;
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. "Truly I say to
you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not
enter it at all." And He took them in His arms and began blessing
them, laying His hands upon them. (Mark 10:13-16 NASB)
Don't be too grown up.
