personal mt. everest

Mount Everest is literally located at the top of the world, rising 29,035 feet above sea level. While more than 2,200 people have succeeded, nearly 200 have lost their lives attempting the climb.

Because of weather and altitude very few people have ever made it to the summit on one attempt.

I think we all have a personal Mount Everest that we must climb. I don't know what your mountain is but it could be almost anything.

• addiction
• weight loss
• starting a business
• writing a book
• restoring a relationship
• getting out of debt
• getting into shape
• creating a beautiful piece of art

Here's the thing about your mountain - if you don't try to climb it you will never reach the top. The problem is that most of us would prefer to have a helicopter drop us of at the top. Even if that was possible you would miss the whole journey and it's not just the top of the mountain that changes us it's the journey.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:28-29

It is not okay for you to never to try and climb.

No matter how many attempts it takes you need to be climbing.

I found this info about Twitter very interesting:

HubSpot released the world’s largest Twitter study based on data from 4.5 million accounts over the past 9 months. In the last report we saw that 80% of accounts had completed their bio, but it seems like a much large portion of Twitter accounts are inactive or abandoned this time. For instance, out of the accounts Hubspot analyzed:

• 79.79% failed to provide a homepage URL
• 75.86% of users have not entered a bio in their profile
• 68.68% have not specified a location
• 55.50% are not following anyone
• 54.88% have never tweeted
• 52.71% have no followers

lifepoint at showplace 12

I LOVE LifePoint. I love Sunday's. The people at LifePoint are the best. We have some of the best volunteers I have ever seen and they do an amazing job creating an incredible environment at a movie theater.

I was a little slow getting the perspective video up this week because I was out of town for a few days.

This weeks video is shot by Michelle, who does an excellent job as one of our greeters. We have so many great volunteers that work so hard to make LifePoint a great place to help people find their way back to God.
