Sometimes I think some of my lapses in parenting have direct impact on the way I view God. If you have kids you might have similar experiences. I also know that all of us have parents - whether you know them or not. Our experiences with our parents can also have an impact on the way that we view God.
Here's my point. Sometimes I can be right in the middle of something - sometimes important other times not. And in that moment one of my kids comes to me with an issue - sometimes big, sometimes small. Depending on my mood, what I'm thinking about, what's on ESPN, etc. I may feel like their issue is an interruption. It's not every time and I'm not saying it's right - I'm just sayin'.
Here is what I'm struggling with today (other than needing to work on my parenting). I think that sometimes we don't approach Jesus with our issues, regardless of how big or how small, because we think that it will be an interruption or that He has more important things to do or that He is too busy.
What are you struggling with? Have you been honest with yourself and with God or did you just think that you could handle it on your own?
He really does care for you and He doesn't see your issues as an interruption.
1 Peter 5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
